Charity or Non Profit organisation will get a discounted rate. The discounted rate will be applied via the email details. Charity or Non Profit organisation looking to manage a hot food stall, then standard rates apply.

Terms and Conditions
  1. Completion of this form does not guarantee that a stall will be provided. Applicants will be notified as soon as possible in writing as to whether their application for a stall has been successful.
  2. Where FCAM agrees to provide the applicant with a stall. Stalls shall be available, and the stall holder will be provided with a license authorising the use of the stall during the permitted trading hours stated above.
  3. All stalls that require electricity are to pay for electricity by themselves. A deposit of £240/£120 is required for the electricity bill in advance. We will notify you of the actual amount used and any additional fees will be refunded.
  4. All fees and electricity fee deposits must be paid upon submission of this application form and at the latest by 31st December 2023. In the event that the applicant is not provided with a stall, all fees paid shall be refunded.
  5. No traffic movement shall be allowed, and no vehicles may be parked on site from 10:00 to 19:00. Offending vehicles shall be removed.
  6. The stall holder shall provide all certification required in respect of the equipment needed to operate the stall and to comply with applicable terms and conditions and health and safety requirements including, without limitation, fire extinguishers, electrical and cooking equipment.
  7. The stall holder will ensure that all electrical cables, fittings and equipment are suitable for outdoor use and fitted with a Residual Current Device (RCD) or a circuit breaker. Any unsafe installations may be disconnected at FCAM’s discretion.
  8. The stall holder will ensure that all fire extinguishers, electrical cables, plugs and sockets comply with relevant British Safety standards and regulations.
  9. STALLHOLDERS SHALL NOTE THAT ONLY GENERATORS ARE NOT PERMITTED. THE POLICE OR HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICERS WILL REMOVE ANY GENERATORS.
  10. Health and safety consultants and/or Manchester City Council’s Environmental Health staff shall inspect all equipment and shall have the right to make safe, remove or order the removal of equipment which is not, in their sole discretion, considered suitable or safe.
  11. Food Stall holders shall provide all cleaning equipment, wash bowls, fresh water and rubbish bags for use in connection with the stall all of which shall comply with relevant safety standards.
  12. All cooking equipment should be located to the rear of the stall and stallholders shall ensure that it is not accessible to the public.
  13. Stall holders will be responsible for the safety of their staff, contractors and all members of the public that come into contact with their stall and shall indemnify FCAM against any costs incurred by, or claims brought against FCAM as a result of the Stall holder’s operation of the stall.
  14. Stall holders agree to obey all directions given by the event controller, FCAM, police or the fire brigade.
  15. Stall holders will be responsible for food allergy warning display.
  16. Stall holders will use take-away food containers permitted by the council.
  17. Any breach of these terms shall result in your stall being closed and may lead to prosecution by the authorities. In such cases any fees paid will not be refunded.
  18. The Chinese translation of the above terms and conditions is provided for convenience only and shall not influence the interpretation of the clauses.
  19. FCAM is a highly reputable politically neutral volunteer association which has been organising Chinese New Year celebrations in Manchester Chinatown since it was established in 1992. Please kindly help us to maintain this tradition and enjoy a spectacular New Year celebration. If you use the stall to do other activities different from what you have mentioned in this application, we may ask you to leave and the stall fee will not be refunded to you.
